Melt Flow Indexers
The Davenport Melt Flow Indexer is used to determine the melt flow properties of a polymer by extruding it in a molten state, through a calibrated die using a reference weight. It is used extensively in production and quality control to ensure batch-to-batch consistency and is renowned for accuracy, repeatability, and reproducibility of results. Two models are available, the manual MFI-9 and the automatic MFI-10.

Melt Viscometer for Intrinsic Viscosity and Melt Viscosity Measurement of PET
The Davenport Melt Viscometer is used to perform a quick, simple test for determining the intrinsic viscosity (IV) and melt viscosity (MV) of PET and other hygroscopic materials. It uses a unique solvent-free method for viscosity testing. Existing solvent methods involve the need to handle and dispose of toxic solvents. This preferred method is both kinder to the environment and saves on the high costs of purchase and disposal of solvents.
